The symbols of Dežanovac were designed by Berislav Schejbal, an archaeologist in the Museum of Daruvar, with a number of scientific works published in journals, who kindly provided drawings and information used on this page.
The flag is in proportions 1:2, blue with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.

The description of the coat of arms given by the designer is u zelenome polju između dva žuta stupa bijela čaša, more or less, "vert a glass argent between two columns or". The designer's explanation for the "historical background" of the coat of arms is:

The glass refers to the glassworks established in 1804 in Ivanovo Polje, being one of the first industries in the region. The columns remind to the manor of the Drašković family in Dežanovac, whose only remains are those two columns, today part of another building.
