Pribislavec is located due north-east of Čakovec, being virtually its suburbs. Population is about 2,700 in the town of the same name and, probably, a few hundreds more in surrounding villages.
The municipality was created in 2004 by secession from Čakovec.

The symbols of Pribislavec are prescribed by Decisions Odluka o zastavi Općine Pribislavec (flag) and Odluka o grbu Općine Pribislavec (coat of arms), both adopted on 9 April 2004 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 29 April 2004 in the County official gazette Službeni glasnik Međimurske županije, No. 3.
The flag is prescribed in Article 4 of the relevant Decision as follows:
The flag is of a single colour, green, with a ratio of its length to width 2:1, in accordance with the legal prescriptions. In the middle of the flag, at the crossing point of its diagonals, is the coat of arms of the municipality.
The ceremonial flag (gonfalon) is made of a highly glossy material, bordered with a golden yellow stripe, at its base are three tails ornamented with tassels; the flag is equipped with the hanging, carrying and display kit.

The coat of arms is prescribed in Article 4 of the relevant Decision as follows:
The coat of arms of the Municipality of Pribislavec is made of a blue semi-circular shield; through a golden/yellow Count's coronet, from the shield base issuing straight three red tulips.
The arms were designed by the local artist Daniel Hampamer, also the designer of the arms of the neighboring municipality of Mala Subotica.
