Presentation of Lovinac

Lovinac is located about 30 km south- east of Gospić. It has just over 1,000 inhabitants, the main place of the same name numbering less than 300. However, with the passage of the new highway built in the first years of the third millenium with the Sveti Rok tunnel passing through the Velebit mountains towards the sea, the municipality received a new vigorous life. The commercial use of the natural spring waters from Sveti Rok gave an other important boost to the development of the region.
