The former symbols of Koprivnički Bregi are prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi Općine Koprivnički Bregi, adopted on 14 November 1995 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 29 December 1995 in Službeni glasnik Županije Koprivnicko-križevacke, No. 14.

The flag and ceremonial flag are described in Article 6 of the Decision, as follows:

The flag - on a yellow background (the colour of wheat) of the official flag in proportions 1:2 in the left top corner there is the coat of arms of the Municipality.
The ceremonial flag retains the proportions and elements of the official flag, but it ends in the form of a "swallow tail" characteristic for the old flags of the Pannonian Croatia. The yellow colour (the colour of wheat) symbolizes the wheat fields that are still to be found in abundance in this Municipality, but it also represents welfare and richness, since Koprivnički Bregi were sill until the beginning of the Second World War known as the economically strongest village in this part of Podravina, and even of Croatia.

The coat of arms is prescribed in Article 5, as follows:

The coat of arms of the Municipality of Koprivnički Bregi, regarding the notes from history, includes two charges which by their symbolic, represent Koprivnički Bregi.
In a regular semi-circular shield on a blue background there is a triple mount, representing the figurative depiction of the name of the place - an anagram "Bregi". ["Bregi" meaning hills, the depicion is not an anagram but rather a rebus].
The second charge is a shell known as Peter's Ear [a scallop], the attribute (symbol) of St. Roch, the patron of the place and of the Municipality of Koprivnički Bregi.

The colors of the symbols are prescribed in Article 7, as follows:

The colours of the coat of arms and the flag are not precisely prescribed in any standard colour system, but may be subsequently prescribed when the technical executive solution is found, in regard to the possibility of acquiring of textiles (silk) and certain printing colours.
