Presentation of Čeminac

Čeminac is located some 15 km due north of Osijek in Baranya. It has about 6,000 inhabitants, of which somewhat over 1,000 live in the main village of the same name.
By the Law of 13 July 2006 on Local Subdivision, the former municipality of Novi Čeminac was incorporated into Čeminac.

The coat of arms is "Azure a lion rampant double-queued or holding a ploughshare argent".
The ploughshare (in Croatian, lemeš) is a frequent element in the coat of arms of rural communities in Slavonia (and Hungary, too).
