Presentation of Magadenovac

Magadenovac is located about 50 km west of Osijek. Population is 2,239 inhabitants according to the 2001 census, but only 105 of them live in the village of the same name. Beside about 85% of Croats there is about 10% of Serbs and 3% of Roma; according to the 2001 census, languages spoken are 96% Croatian, 3% Roma and religious affiliation 84% Roman Catholic, 10% "other Orthodox churches", 3% Islam, while the Serb Orthodox Church has only 0.13%.
In the territorial reform of 1993 the municipality was named Šljivoševci, had the seat in that village (almost 400 inhabitants and the seat of the Roman Catholic parish), but in 1997 the name and the seat of administration were changed to Magadenovac.

Flag of Magadenovac

The symbols of Magadenovac (municipal website) are described in the Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Magadenovac, adopted on 26 June 2009 by the Municipality Assembly and published in the Municipality official gazette Službeni glasnik Općine Magadenovac.

The flag is in proportions 1:2, green with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.

The coat of arms is "Azure an oil derrick sable between an oak branch and a maize stalk both or all issuant from a base vert".
The area is predominantly agrarian, with noticeable sources of natural oil.

The ceremonial flag is a green gonfalon with three triangularly ending tails with golden tassels, with the coat of arms in the middle, the name of the municipality above and three yellow antlers, one in each tail.
