The Town of Našice (16,228 inhabitants in 2011, 7,894 in the town of Našice) is located some 50 km west of Osijek. Našice was part of Požega-Slavonia County until 1997.

Flag of Našice

The symbols of Našice are prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu i zastavi Grada Našica, adopted on 29 May 1996 by the Town Council and published in the Town official gazette Službeni glasnik Grada Našica, No. 4.

The symbols, designed by Dr. Krunoslav Nikšić (M.D.), at the time the Chairman of the Town Assembly, were approved on 10 July 1996 by the Ministry of Administration.

The flag is in proportions 1:2, blue with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.

The coat of arms is "Azure, on two mounts as many churches argent roofed gules addorsed".
This is based on an historical coat of arms, also recorded by Laszowski (Grbovi Jugoslavije [lsv39]). Laszowski coloured the caot of arms, which is based on the marketplace's seal, dated 1880. The arms differ from the current design in minor artistic details of the representation of rooftops and sun; it also includes a red natural lily flower on a long stalk along the sinister flank of the shield.

Mourning flag in Našice

The hoisting on a black flag on the Town Hall is prescribed by Decision Odluka o isticanju crne zastave na zgradu Grada Našica, adopted on 18 November 2010 by the Town Council and published on 23 November 2010 in Službeni glasnik Grada Našica, No. 8.
The decision determines in which cases the black flag, as a sign of mourning, is to be hoisted on the Town Hall. This includes cases of death of previous Presidents of the previous Municipal Assembly; of previous Presidents of the Executive Council (local government) since the "introduction of the multi-party democratic government" (that is, since 1990); of previous Presidents of the Town Council, of previous Mayors and of current members of the Town Coucil, Mayor and Vice Mayor; and of employees working in the Town Hall.
I cannot think of any other town in Croatia determining such procedure formally; these things are usually determined on a case by case basis.
