Presentation of Podravska Moslavina

The municipality of Podravska Moslavina (1,202 inhabitants in 2011) is the westernmost municipality in the County located along river Drava, some 60 km west of Osijek, where Drava ends being the border between Croatia and Hungary and enters "inwards" into Croatia, making of Podravska Moslavina the first municipality on its left bank in the Baranja region.
The village was known in Hungarian as Monoszló. After the liberation from the Ottomans, the place was, after the military administraion, part of the Virovitica County since 1745. Until 1997 the municipality was officially named Moslavina Podravska, to differentiate it from several other "Moslavina" in Croatia).
