The coat of arms is in an oval shield, "Azure an arm proper issuant from sinister holding a fleur-de-lis slipped argent and issuant from the canton a sun or and in base a mount argent".
The Municipality Statutes simply say that the coat of arms is the historical coat of arms of the town, the original of which is set in the facade of the town's gallery "Fonticus" (photo).
