The symbols of Svetvinčenat are described in the Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Svetvinčenat, adopted by the Municipality Assembly on 28 September 2001 and published in the Municipality official gazette Službene novine Općine Svetvinčenat.
This was repeated in the next Statutes Statut Općine Svetvinčenat - pročišćeni tekst, adopted on 28 September 2007 by the Municipality Assembly and published in Službene novine Općine Svetvinčenat, and in the current Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Svetvinčenat (text), adopted on 28 August 2009 by the Municipality Assembly and published in Službene novine Općine Svetvinčenat.

The flag is in proportions 1:2, light blue with the coat of arms, bordered white, offset towards the canton. The coat of arms is placed one unit from the flag's top and two units from the flag's bottom and hoist.

The coat of arms is "Azure a tower with slanted base and embattlements argent".
It reporesents the Grimani casle that is the base of the town, built in the 13th century and rebuilt to its present shape in 1589, when the same coat of arms carved above the fort entrance may have already existed.
