The coat of arms is "Argent a cross patty gules throughout and in the first, second and fourth quarter each a downpointing brown-green funnel-shaped cone".
This is based on the historical coat of arms of the town. the cone-shaped charges are blazoned as "wooden wedges" in the approval (without indicating their tincture), while the Decision talks about "brown plummet" (as in plumb-line, plumb-bob, a weight suspended from a string for vertical reference).

The ceremonial flag (photo, video) is a yellow gonfalon with three triangularly ending tails with tassels, with the coat of arms in the centre, the municipality name in two arches above and an olive and a grapevine branch below.
The Decision prescribes the inscription above the coat of arms to be in green letters with a golden outline, while the letters used on the actual flag are clearly golden.

The fomer symbols of Vižinada were prescribed by Decision Odluka o grbu, zastavi i barjaku Općine Vižinada, adopted on 15 September 1994.
The symbols were described in the Municipality Statutes Statut Općine Vižinada, adopted on 8 October 2001 and published on 21 November 2001 in the Poreč official gazette Službeni glasnik Grada Poreča, No. 12.

The symbols were basically the same as the current ones, with minor artistic differences. According to the Statutes, the flag with the coat of arms set perpendicularly to the longer edge of the flag was supposed to be used only as a vertical flag.
