Flag of Brod Moravice

The symbols of Brod Moravice are prescribed by Decision Odluka o uporabi grba i zastave Općine Brod Moravice, adopted on 2 July 2001 by the Municipality Assembly and published on 13 July 2001 in the County official gazette Službene novine Primorsko-goranske županije.

The symbols, designed by Marko Tišljar, from Zagreb (who also designed the symbols of Đurđevac), were approved on 25 June 2001 by the Ministry of Justice, Administration and Local Selfgovernemnt.

The flag is in proportions 1:2, blue with the coat of arms, bordered white, in the middle.
The ceremonial flag is described "to be bordered or fringed gold".

The coat of arms shows on a green field St. Nicholas and in chief a golden scallop and a silver St. Andrew's cross couped.
St. Nicholas is the patron saint of the municipality and of the parish. The saltire presumably refers to St. Andrew, the dedicatee of the chapel erected in the 17th century on the summit of Parag (705 m above the sea level) in the vicinity of the village of Gornji Kuti. The scallop probably represents St. Roch, the dedicatee of the graveyard church in Brod.

The first symbols of Brod Moravice were prescribed by Decision Odluka o uporabi grba i zastave Općine Brod Moravice, adopted on 13 February 1997 and published on 21 March 1997 in the County official gazette Službene novine Županije primorsko-goranske, No. 21.

The flag is divided diagonally green and blue (the shade is not specified) with a white stripe among them that is a continuation of the bend in the coat of arms. The flag is bordered golden on three edges.
The ceremonial flag is a vertical version with a golden border along the long edges and a golden fringe along the bottom.

The coat of arms is divided by a blue bend, the upper green field showing St. Nicholas, in base in a white field a green linden leaf and a golden linden fruit.
While the bend is described to be wavy, it is actually depicted as engrailed in the top and invected in the bottom edge (thus making indeed kind of pointed wavy pattern); these "waves" are far to thin for any practical purposes.

It is highly probable that these early versions were never actually produced.
