Presentation of Dugopolje

Dugopolje is located inlands, about 15 km north-west of Split. It has around 3,000 inhabitants, 2,600 in the town of the same name.
In recent years the unicipality made some smart moves attracting investmens and building small modern factories, and is therefore among the most prosperous municipalities in the Dalmatian inlands, otherwise quite poar regions. The modern highway Zagreb-Split passed through this year, making of Dugopolje an important crossroads for the way towards Dubrownik and south.

Flag of Dugopolje

The symbols of Dugopolje (municipal website) were approved by the Ministry of Justice, Administration and Local Self-Government.

The flag is in proportions 1:2, deep blue with the coat of arms, bordered yellow, in the middle.
The blue color of the flag recalls the blue folk costume worn by the women from Dugopolje, called modrina.
