On 15 December, 1997, a part of the town, Zichyújfalu, left Gárdony and became an independent village again.
Zoltán Turay, 5 January 2005

Yesterday I visited this town, and I have seen the real flag on Town Hall building. It is yellow with its Coat of Arms, and name of town above it. Proportion of this  horizontal version is 1:2. Blue color of Coat of Arms is lighter than it is shown above.
Regulation text does not mention its orientation (horizontal or vertical), and there is no reference on its proportions. So, I draw the horizontal variant what I have seen hoisted on Town Hall.
