Zsámbék (German: Schambeck) is located in Pest county, 30 km west of Budapest
along the M1 motorway in the Gerecse Mountains. Settlers from Germany came to
live in the abandoned village after the Turkish occupation. It became a town in
2009.

The coat of arms is illustrated at the end of the regulation.
Note: the former Hungarian royal flag from the Middle Age, the red-and white
stripes, is also used in the town (but it is not the flag of town).
