Description

Following a government decision, the two main tax collection organization of Israel (Income and Property Tax Wing and Customs and VAT wing) were united to one body: Israel Taxes Authority. This unification came into force on 1 September 2004.
The outcome of this step was the disappearing of the customs flag which was replaced by the new flag of the Israel Taxes Authority. This new flag is consist of the Taxes Authority logo (seen on the header at <www.mof.gov.il>) in blue over white background.

The flag of the Tax Authority is the emblem in blue on white. The inscription is: Israel Tax Authority in bold letters and below it: income tax-VAT-customs.
The image is based on a photo of the flag that is hoisted above Haifa Port Customs building, the same place where the customs flag was used to be hoisted...
