KARNATAKA Zamindari
Nizamate of Hyderabad
Area: 22 sq. km
Accession Date: 1956
History: "Karnataka was referred to a geographical location outside of the
Nizamate of Hyderabad and HH Nawab Azam Ali Najebuddin (1870) was given the
title of Nawab and Madar-ul-Maham, namely the governor of the region.
Thereafter, the Nawab of Karnataka was granted a mansabdari and monthly pension
from H.E.H. the Nizam of Hyderabad and continued until the Nizamate of Hyderabad
ceased to exist in 1948, in the "Police Action"."
