The Groupement Interbancaire Monétique de UEMOA is a structure of regional monatary system, it was established in Februray 2003. It provides standardization for interbanking monetary system between the member countries, and assures the monetary services for payments between banks, potal services and micro financial systems. It encourages the use of bank cards within UEMOA payments. Currently the are 91 banks and financial institutions within the UEMOA countries.

Its flag is blue, with its logo forming a chip on a bank card together with letters GIM UEMOA.
