International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) is the world's oldest
and largest global environmental network - a democratic membership union with
more than 1,200 government and NGO member organizations, and almost 11,000
volunteer scientists in more than 160 countries. IUCN supports scientific
research, manages field projects globally and brings governments, non-government
organizations, United Nations agencies, companies and local communities together
to develop and implement policy. It was founded in 1948 during the first
congress held at Fontainebleau, France. Now its headquarters are located in
Gland, Switzerland, near Geneva.
Its flag is white with its logo in the center of he flag. Logo was adopted in
March 2008.

IUCN previous flag was also white but with acronym and motto only. Previous
logo adopted in May 1992.
