The World Anti-Doping Agency (WADA), in French: Agence mondiale antidopage, is an independent foundation created through a collective initiative led by the International Olympic Committee (IOC). It was set up on November 10, 1999 in Lausanne, Switzerland, as a result of what was called the "Declaration of Lausanne", to promote, coordinate and monitor the fight against drugs in sport.
WADA is an international independent agency composed and funded equally by the sport movement and governments of the world. Its key activities include scientific research, education, development of anti-doping capacities, and monitoring of the World Anti Doping Code - the document harmonizing anti-doping policies in all sports and all countries. Now it is headquartered in Montreal, Canada since 2001.
Its flag is white with its logo in the middle of the flag. It is a black square with two green seeds, and name of organization in black letters.
