Unidentified Wartime Flags

On Yahoo news on 29 March 2003 there was a picture of an unexploded American missile being carried by loads of people in front of the information ministry in Baghdad. In the background, there are three flags visible: an Iraqi flag, plus two plain flags, one red the other blue. What flags are those? Does anyone know?

Unidentified Flag in Northern Iraq

I recently saw this black-white-green horizontal tricolor twice in TV images shot in Northern Iraq (Kurdish area). The first time as a small hand flag with fringe, being waved by a Kurdish demonstrator, the second time as a normal flag, being flown from a civil vehicle in the middle of a celebration. Both showed a quite dark shade of green. Proportions were different, though; the hand flag looked a lot more square than the normal flag.

Unidentified Flag with Green Star

Yesterday, in images showing protests against the torture of Iraqi prisoners at the hands of American soldiers, I saw a white flag with a single green 5-pointed star and a few inscriptions in Arabic on both sides.

An Iraqi army flag was shown in BBC News footage of a military funeral ceremony on Aug 12 2010 - lilac, with a green hoist triangle and a black-edged map of Iraq in the fly, a curved line of writing above it. Crudely reproduced above.
