Cimbri of the Seven Communities - I Cimbri dei Sette Comuni -
De Tzimbar von Siben Komoinen: The Sette Comuni
federation is known to have been fully organized between the
years of 1270 and 1339, but the Document of Federation was
destroyed in fires due to hostilities around 1500. The federation
lasted until the Napoleonic invasions around 1807. The territory
was under the Austrian rule from 1815 to 1866 and was annexed to
Italy by the international accord in 1866.
The Seven Communes are located in the Province of Vicenza, in the
area known as Altopiano di Asiago, a tourist paradise. The
capital and cultural center of the Cimbri of Seven Communes is in
the town of Lusaan (Lusiana).
The flag above is based on Asiago arms.
There are flags attributed to Cimbri of the
Seven Communities at Padanian websites.
Those flag are in question and should be dealt with caution.
There is no other report about their use or mere existance.
Another flag is reported by Jaume Ollé's
"Flag Report" as reverse of the Territorial Militia's
flag with the historical emblem of the Reggenza dei Sette Comuni.
