The Flag

The flag of the town of Fukaura is purple with mark. I found two shades of purple.

The town emblem and the flag were adopted on Mar 31st 2005 by Notice No 3 and No 4. The purple flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana フ Fu of Fukaura in a form of a seagull. The circle symbolizes a wave splash and a development of the town by a reconciliation and a solidarity.
The flag proportion is 72: 100. The diameter of the emblem is 2/5 length (not height) of the flag. The flag law says the color of the flag field is a purple but not a dark blue.
