The town emblem was adopted on Dec 25th 1965 but there is no flag law. The green flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized kanji 今別 Imabetsu. It represents the town peoples consenses on a clean and a fair concord and three ways of Seikan Tunnel. Imabetsu Town General Affairs section says they use a green flag with a white town emblem without the kanji town name at the bottom at the town hall building.
