The village emblem was adopted in Dec 1965 but there is no flag law. The purple flag has a white village emblem in the center. The village emblem is a stylized katakana タ Ta of Tanohata. The circle symbolizes a happiness and a solidarity of the villagers. It represents a remarkable progress and a development of the village.
