colour of field: purple
colour of emblem: white; diameter of emblem: 82/130 flag height; a stylized kanji Osato 大郷
Nozomi Kariyasu, 4 February 2006
The emblem consists of a stylised kanji O 大 (large) forming a circle
with a three-pointed shape on top and a stylised kanji sato 郷 (home
town, district) in a circular shape inside the bottom of the larger
circle. The three-pointed shape represents the union of the three former
villages. The circle expresses peaces, as well as the kanji sato.
Explicit dimensions for the flag are given as 130cm x 175cm, with the
emblem as 82cm, and these proportions are to be used for other sized
flags.
