The Flag

The flag of the town of Hachirogata was blue with mark. I found white variant too.

The town emblem was adopted on Nov 3rd 1957 but there is no flag law. The blue flag has a white, a yellow and a grey three color town emblem in the center. The number 8 symbolizes Hachi (=8) of Hachirogata and the merger of former two towns. The sail on both side stands for a surge of the town. It represents rapidly advancing town and a cooperation, a peace and a prosperity.
Hachirogata Town general affairs section confirms they don’t use a dark blue flag nor a white flag. They use only a blue flag at the town hall.
