The city emblem was adopted on Mar 22nd 2005 by Notice No 1 but
there is no flag law.
The white flag has a blue, a green and a red three color city emblem in the center.
The city emblem is a stylized kanji 上 Gami of kataGami.
The red circle and the green arc symbolize a man, the blue color does Lake Hachiro,
the green color does the ground and a harmony with the residents.

The flag of the former town of Iitagawa was maroon with mark. The town is now,
from 2005, part of the city of Katagami.

Its proper name is Iitagawa Town, instead of Idagawa.
