The town emblem was adopted on Mar 20th 2006 by Notice No 1 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green,a blue and a red three color town emblem in the center. The town emblem depicts tane (=seeds) in a form of three circles. The green color stands for an abandunt nature, the blue color for the blessings from the earth and the red color for the people living in the town. It represents a reconciliation and a development of Hachiryu, Kotooka and Yamamoto threee areas.
