The town emblem was adopted on Oct 7th 1958 by Notice No 28 but there is no flag law. The maroon flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana ウ U of Ugo. The upper triangle symbolizes the forest, the center part does the plain field and the lower part does the development. The circle stands for a peace and a cooperation.
Ugo town general affairs section says they don’t use an orange flag nor white. They hoist a maroon flag like Akita prefecture flag at the town hall. The flag of the photo looks orangish due to light condition or used flag. Please change the color to Akita maroon.
