The city emblem and the flag were adopted on Mar 22nd 2005 by Notice No 1.
The blue flag has a white city emblem in the center.
The city emblem is stylized kanji 由利 Yuri of Yurihonjo in a form of a lily.
it represents a swinging and a creative city where the people lives
together with the nature.
The flag proportion is 2:3.
The height of the emblem is 113/140 the height of the flag.
