The Flag

Shirataka town adopted its emblem on 28 September 1959; adoption date of flag: 25 March 2005 (pages in Japanese)
Flag proportion: 2:3; colour of field: green.
Colour of emblem: white emblem with black fimbriation and the black-F with white; diameter of emblem: 3/5 flag height. The emblem is a flying white hawk = Shirataka 白鷹.

The flag's adoption came into force on 1 April 2004. The field colour is given according to JIS Z8721: hue 4.5BG, brightness 3.3, saturation 5.9.
The emblem is described as an abstraction, but I have admit that I don't see the hawk at all.

The green flag has a white town emblem with a black fimbriation in the center as per the flag law.
