The town emblem and the flag were adopted on Jun 22nd 1970 by Notice No 10. The green flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana ユザ Yuza. The upper part symbolizes Mt.Chokai,the center wings do an exponential development of the town and the lower part does the people holding hands. The flag proportion is 2: 3. The height of the emblem is 3/5 of thr height of the flag.
