The city emblem was adopted on Mar 16th 2006 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a yellow and a blue two color city emblem in the center. The city emblem depicts a crescent and a warrior’s helmet symbolizing the history and the tradition of Date City. The simple circle stands for a harmony and a progress of the merged former five towns and an image of the people who  helps each other with a compatibility.
