The town emblem was adopted on Oct 1st 1972 by Notice No 3 and the flag was adopted on Sep 1st 1985. The green flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized kanji 双 Futa of Futaba. The large circle symbolizes a reconciliation and a solidarity of the town, the smaller circles both side do two districts namely Niiyama and Nagatsuka and two leaves. The point of the circle stands for a development of the town. The flag law does not mention the spec but only shows the flag picture.
