The Flag

The flag of the town of Ono is maroon with mark. I found also white version.

The town emblem was adopted in May 1960 but there is no flag law. The maroon flag has a white town emblem in the center and the kanji name in white horizontally at the bottom part. The town emblem is a stylized kanji 小 O of Ono. It represents a dramatic progress of the town and a reconciliation and a solidarity of the town people.

I contacted Ono Town General Affairs Section to ask about the color of the flag. They use the white flag with a dark blue emblem (not a black emblem) without the town name at the hall today. Please change the color of the emblem to a dark blue.
