The town emblem was adopted on Nov 3rd 1973 but there is no flag law. The purple flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized hiragana た Ta of Tanagura. It represents a reconciliation and a solidarity of the town people and an image of the town which makes a leap forward.
