The town emblem was adopted on Dec 14th 1960 by Notice No 26 but there is no flag law. The purple flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized hiragana い I of oIzumi. It represents a willness of the town to grow with a dramatic sense and a strong solidarity.
