The village emblem was adopted on Nov 1st 1973 by Notice No 58 but there is no flag law. The dark blue flag has a white town emblem in the center. The village emblem is a stylized hiragana しん Shin of  Shinto. The circle symbolizes a solidarity and a reconcillation of the villagers and the flame spewed from the center does an energetic leap forward to the future.
