The town emblem and the flag were adopted on Mar 20th 1985 by Notice No 15. The maroon flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized kanji 吉Yoshi of Yoshioka. The three stone arrowheads symbolize ancient tombs, the ancient culture and Jomo three mountains in the town. It represents an abandunt peaceful local town development grown in age-old tradition and a beautiful nature. The flag proportion is 5:7.
