The city emblem was adopted on Apr 1st 1962 by Notice No 1 but there is no flag law. The blue flag has a yellow city emblem in the center. The city emblem is three stylized katakana ケ Ke of MitsuKe. The circle symbolizes a peace and the umbonal part does an unlimited surge of the city. It represents a tradition and a history.
