The city emblem was adopted on Nov 1st 2004 by Notice No 1 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a red, a blue and an orange three color city emblem in the center. The red color stands for a dream, a hope and an energy to  realize them, the blue color for fresh streams and a clear sky, the orange color for rices. It represents an image of the city which is developing by a concord of the nature, the people and the industry with Koshihikari rice, a fresh stream of Uonogawa River and the rich nature.
