The town emblem was adopted on Mar 1st 2005 by Notice No 1 but there is no flag law. The white flag has a green, a blue, a deep blue and an orange four color town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized kanji 中 Naka of Nakanoto which symbolizes the merger of the former three villages. It represents an image of the town in harmony among a history, a culture and the people which is enfolded by an abandunt nature and a spiritual bond.
