The town emblem was adopted on Sep 1st 2005 but there is no flag law. The light blue flag has a green , a blue and an orange three color city emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized S. The blue circle stands for a vast  Japan Sea, a great Noto Peninsula, the contacts and the encounters, the green color for abandunt circumstances and the orange color for the town people heading to the future.
