The town emblem was adopted on Jan 1st 2005 by Notice No 1 but there is no flag law. The white flag has town emblem of three colors blue, green and orange. The town emblem is a stylized Hiragana Mi み of Minami Echizen. The blue stands for beautiful sea, green color for rich nature and vigor and orange color for town’s history, culture and people’s warmth. As a whole it represents city figure making a strong progress together with rich nature.
