The village emblem and the flag were adopted on Aug 2nd 1971 by Notice No 5 and 6. The maroon flag has a green village emblem in the center and the kanji name of the village in white at the bottom part.  The village emblem is a stylized kanji 小 Ko of Kosuge inside of the wings. The wings and the circle symbolizes eight carex leaves in green color all the seasons. It represents the eight regions and the villagers' solidarity, conformity and limitless development.
