The town emblem was adopted on Apr 1st 1971 but there is no flag law. The purple flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized katakana シ Sho of Showa. The circle stands for a solidarity of the people and peace and the sharp edge in the center is a straight symbol of the rapid development of the industry and the culture and at the same time makes a form of Mt.Fuji.
