The village emblem was adopted on Dec 13th 1961. The purple flag has a gold village emblem in the center. The village emblem is a stylized katakana ハラ Hara in a form of flying bird. The spreaded wings hold the village people and the circle stands for the villages’ peace and a solidarity. The flag was adopted on Dec 1st 1974. The flag proportion is 2: 3.
