The adoption date of the town emblem is unknown. There is no flag law. The blue flag has a white town emblem in the center. The town emblem is a stylized hiragana いひ Ii of Iijima. The circle form symbolizes the towners' reconcillation and a progress of a harmonious town surrounded by a wreath of the town flower, Alpine rose.

The town emblem was adopted on Jan 1st 1954.
