The town emblem was adopted on Nov 3rd 1961 but there is no flag law. The maroon flag has a white town emblem in the center and its kanji name in white at the bottom part. The town emblem is a stylized kanji 小 Ko and three katakana ウ U. It represents a peaceful development of the newly born town by a merge of the former three towns.
